PodCampAZ

Pod Camp AZ - Relevant Media UnconferenceExplore the world of new and relevant media at PodCamp AZ, the southwest’s premier destination for bloggers, podcasters, social media butterflies, photographers, video pros and more! It’s a chance to enhance your skills while learning from those in the trenches every day. This is the third year of the event and promises to bring in over 1,000 people hungry to learn — and to share! It’s an unconference, so everyone is encouraged to lead a session. The event is always free, and you can’t beat the weather in Phoenix in November. So get registered, and we’ll see you then!

Ignite Phoenix

Ignite Phoenix

Ignite Phoenix is an information exchange for fostering and inspiring Phoenix’s creative community. In one evening, you hear 18 passionate speakers from our creative, technical, and business communities talking about their current projects or favorite ideas for just five minutes. Presentations will educate and inspire you, and maybe make you laugh in the process.

Twestival AZ

Phoenix TwestivalThe Phoenix event of Twestival – a global tweetup for charity. Twestival has completed four successful global campaigns, which have raised $1.75 million for over 275 amazing causes!

Cupcake LoveIn

Peace, Love and Cupcakes. Sounds like a simple recipe for a sweet day. Amidst the abundance of annual culinary affairs, there was missing a celebration dedicated solely to desserts – specifically the beloved cupcake.  Kelly Garcia and Tracy Dempsey envisioned such an event that would shine the light on the many talented and often overlooked bakers and pastry chefs that indulge our many sweet tooth’s every day.  Honoring community and our amazing local businesses, the Cupcake Love-In celebrates the young and young at heart who savor the little things.

Laid Off Camp

LaidOffCamp Chandler is an extension of a national effort to help people find work — full-time work, freelance work, volunteer work, or whatever’s next for them.  Like other LaidOffCamp events, ours is a locally-based, community-supported effort to offer resources and reassurance to job seekers.

AZ Give Camp

AZGiveCamp is a massive weekend event where the software development community comes together to support charities and non-profits by developing or improving their web sites and applications. It’s fun, it’s agile, it’s geeky, and it’s good for the community.

Pecha Kucha

Pecha-Kucha Night Phoenix is the one place designers of all disciplines can share their latest projects, newest curiosities, insights, aspirations and flashes of brilliance; to show what they’ve done, are doing, or are psyched-up about doing next. Pecha-Kucha, pronounced “peh-chak cha” is Japanese for chit-chat. Meaning the sound of busy conversation going on in a room.

CLAZ_LogoCreate Live AZ is a collaboration of creatives in a tech environment. Through the use of live streaming on the web, Create Live brings together designers and artists as well as people in the web industry to collaborate or be a part of the audience as we create live! Founded by Brent Spore of iBoughtamac.com and StarvingDesigner.com and Natasha Wescoat (NatashaWescoat.com and NatashasArtCandy.com) to bring together the two communities and show how creative business can cohabitate with technology and the internet to promote and explore the art world and all the amazing talent in our world. The founders hope to bring Create Live to other national cities in the future to support the connection between creatives and tech.

 Arizona Entrepreneurship Conference

az_entre_logo_color The theme for this year’s Arizona Entrepreneurship Conference is “Bright Spots in the Recession.”Even in bad times, someone gets funded, and someone becomes successful. This year, there’s more activity in social media, e-patient groups, green building, and cloud computing than ever before.
