These are the Board of Directors of the Phoenix Innovation Foundation:
Jeff Moriarty – President
Jeff Moriarty has a degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University, and has worked the spectrum from running his own software company, to assessing information security issues, to performing improv comedy, to managing social media communities for a Fortune 100 company. Jeff helped develop and implement the internal Social Media strategy for Intel employees, and worked as the Community Manager for the external developer site supporting Intel’s mobile products. He is extremely active in the Phoenix social media community, and in addition to running the Phoenix Social Media Club, he is one of the founders of Ignite Phoenix, ImprovAZ, and the Phoenix Innovation Foundation. His versatile background and practical enterprise experience gives him a unique perspective on the social media challenges facing everyone from individuals to large businesses. Jeff is currently the Director of Social Media Strategy at Sitewire, a Tempe based firm.
Oden Hughes – Vice President
With over twenty years of non-profit management experience, Oden Hughes brings a wide variety of skills and experiences to the organization. She has worked as a program manager for national organizations such as; Planned Parenthood, Jewish Family Service, Wallace Foundation and UN Volunteers, has served on the board of directors for community based health, human services and art organizations including; Zone Art Center, Mason Square Community Health Board, Behavioral Health Crises Center, and Key Program, assists with a few small family foundations and contributes her project management skills to local organizations like, ImprovAZ, Ignite Phoenix and SMC Phoenix. She holds degrees in Organizational Psychology and Biology from The University of Massachusetts and worked for more than ten years and an organizational development consultant. Oden has been employed by The Arizona Republic for the last ten years and currently is a Senior Information Technology Manager specializing in collaborative, analytical and procedural software development.
Dannette Moriarty – Treasurer
Dannette Moriarty has over 10 years of experience in Corporate America holding leadership positions in the fields of Customer Service, Quality and Development and Training. A motivational, results-oriented leader who specializes in mentoring and coaching personnel to achieve success within an organization, her specialty is leading diverse teams of people through major corporate change. Dannette currently holds the position of Quality Assurance Consultant for Fortune 100 Company Verizon Communications in a very busy Phoenix call center. To share her more creative side with the community, Dannette helped start Phoenix Innovation Foundation and is an active member of the core team producing Ignite Phoenix. A longtime Arizona resident, she lives in Gilbert with her husband, Jeff and four rescue dogs.
Chris Lee – Secretary
Chris Lee has spent spent the last 20 years in operations as an entrepreneur running Customer Systems, Inc., a customer relationship management consulting firm, and in management in corporate America. When he is not busy working to improve his company, Chris enjoys participating in the Phoenix social media community. Chris started and led the Phoenix event of Twestival, a global charity fundraiser which netted $1.75 million for 275 causes around the world – including the Arizona based St. Mary’s Food Bank and Child Crisis Center. The Phoenix event out raised all other US cities over the course of the 4 Twestival events. In addition to being devoted to his family, he has passions for stand up paddling and food. He is currently organizing the inaugural Ignite Food event. Chris has a degree in business administration from Georgetown University and is an Arizona native.
